This week the Powers JV girls tennis attended three matches, first Midland, then Kearsley, and finally the Fenton quad! This week not only pushed the girls physically but mentally as well.
On Thursday we traveled to Midland where the girls gave it their all. Our singles player Emily Gebardt won 8-3! Due to the high number of Midland players all of our doubles played twice! Their scores:

On Friday we made our way to Kearsley where we saw some great sportsmanship from both teams! In addition we secured a WIN! We played best 2 out of 3 sets up to 4. Our scores follow:

Saturday we attended the Fenton Quad graciously hosted by Fenton. There ended up being five teams: Clio, Fenton, Goodrich, Powers, and Swartz Creek. This quad was fully doubles we had 7 of our girls play and Swartz Creek generally offered up one of their girls as a partner. Her name was Leah Newman and she had a great attitude. This was our first quad. Here we saw lots of physical and mental work. At the start we were not getting the scores we hoped but the girls took it one match at a time and took what they learned into the next, and we could definitely see the improvement! Our scores:
