Powers vs Saginaw Heritage

On Monday night Powers Catholic Boys Varsity Lacrosse team defeated Saginaw Heritage 12-10. Powers started fast, scoring 5 goals in the first quarter of the contest, taking an impressive 5-1 first quarter lead. Powers and Heritage would trade goals in the second quarter and closed the gap to 8-5 Powers lead at half time. The lead would stay between 2-3 goals for the rest of the game as the teams traded goals until Powers was able to close the game in the 4^th. Powers was led in scoring by Juniors Josh Back and RJ McAndrew who both had a team high 4 goals and 1 assist a piece. Junior Ian Murawski also put in an impressive offense performance with 2 goals and 3 assists. Back stopping the win was Freshman Goalie Takoda Sullivan who made 15 saves in the game with 7 coming at critical times in the 3^rd quarter.
