Powers vs Saginaw Heritage
On Monday night Powers Catholic Boys Varsity Lacrosse team defeated Saginaw Heritage 12-10. Powers started fast, scoring 5 goals in the first quarter of the contest, taking an impressive 5-1 first quarter lead. Powers and Heritage would trade goals in the second quarter and closed the gap to 8-5 Powers lead at half time. The lead would stay between 2-3 goals for the rest of the game as the teams traded goals until Powers was able to close the game in the 4th. Powers was led in scoring by Juniors Josh Back and RJ McAndrew who both had a team high 4 goals and 1 assist a piece. Junior Ian Murawski also put in an impressive offense performance with 2 goals and 3 assists. Back stopping the win was Freshman Goalie Takoda Sullivan who made 15 saves in the game with 7 coming at critical times in the 3rd quarter.
