Powers vs Lapeer

On Senior Night Powers Catholic Boys Varsity Lacrosse team defeated Lapeer 24-3 on Tuesday night. Powers started fast, scoring 5 goals in the first quarter of the contest, taking an impressive 15-1 Halftime lead. Powers was led in scoring by Senior Koen Hernandez with a game high 7 goals and 1 assist, followed by Junior RJ McAndrew who had 7 goals of his own and Junior Ian Murawski who had 4 goals and 3 assists. 6 different Chargers found the back of the net, in an all-around offensive effort. Senior Andrew Kang & Freshman Nolan McAndrew dominated the faceoff x with an impressive 21 faceoff wins at the X for a 77% faceoff percentage. Senior Mitch Lenger and Junior Parker Bendall led the defense, gathering 6 and 9 Ground balls. Back stopping the win was Senior Goalie Alex Do who made 5 saves. The Boys Lacrosse team will look to further its winning ways This Thursday on May 1st when Davison travels to Atwood @ 6PM.
