The Powers Catholic Varsity Lacrosse team closed out their season with a hard-fought playoff loss to DeWitt, 16-11. Despite the defeat, this season marked a turning point for the Chargers as they redefined their culture and showed tremendous growth on and off the field. Zandria Grossi led the way with an outstanding performance, tallying 6 goals, 2 assists, 7 ground balls, and causing 3 turnovers. Chaeli Daclison and Lauren Lavoie each added 2 goals, while Anna Evanoff contributed a goal and an assist along with 3 ground balls. On the defensive end, Ellie Brooks stood out with 4 ground balls, and Illijiranja Delivanja added 3 more. This season was a testament to the team’s resilience, unity, and rising potential.
