Girls Lacrosse Battle Against Saginaw Heritage The Powers Catholic Girls Lacrosse team faced a tough matchup against Saginaw Heritage (an undefeated team last season) ultimately falling 15–3. Despite the final score, the Chargers showed resilience, kept their heads up, and continued to compete as a Team from start to finish. Zandria Grossi led the Team with an outstanding all around performance, recording 2 goals, 1 assist, and an impressive 25 ground balls. Lauren LaVoy contributed a goal and 5 ground balls, while Sophia Sage added an assist and 3 ground balls. In goal, Liz Groat delivered a strong performance with 14 saves, helping keep Powers in the fight against the high powered Heritage offense. Head Coach Adrienne Kane expressed pride in her Team for the way they came together and competed through adversity. The Chargers continue to grow stronger together, using this game as preparation as they take on Grand Blanc next Tuesday. Powers is home all week at Atwood and ready to compete. We believe.
