Powers Catholic High School

Mike Watson succeeded the retiring Mike Watson as athletic director at Powers Catholic High School on June 1, 2026. He brings over 20 years of experience as an interscholastic athletic administrator. Most recently, Watson led the expansion of the Kulanihako'i High School athletic program in Kihei, Maui. Prior to that, Watson led the athletic programs at Marian High School, De La Salle Collegiate, Oxford Community Schools and was the citywide AD at Muskegon Schools. Prior to that, Mike oversaw athletics at Oscoda Area Schools and Ashley. Watson is a University of Michigan Graduate (1998) where he received a bachelor of arts degree in Kinesiology (Sports Management & Communication). He also holds a master of science degree from Ohio University (2006). Watson is a national-level instructor in the National Interscholastic Administrators Association (NIAAA) Leadership Training Program. Mike earned the designation of Certified Master Athletic Administrator (CMAA) in 2010. He is also a Certified Interscholastic Coach (CIC) as designated by the National Federation of High School (NFHS) and is a Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) Coaches Advancement Program (CAP) Masters Elite Coach.
