Leo Foley 10:04 AM (1 hour ago) to me, Michael, Leo School Records Fall again as Track preps for State Finals The track team split up for a number of meets as they prepared for the state finals. The Men's 400 and 800 meter relays traveled down to Dexter to take on some of the top Division One teams in the state at the Larry Steeb Meet of Champions. The 400 meter relay team of Hudson Miller, Jayce Beauchamp, Breckin Cicalo and Grant Roberts broke their 10 day old school record running a time of 42.54. The 800 meter relay team of Princeton Clack, Jayce Beauchamp, Hudson Miller and Grant Roberts also broke the school record for the 2nd time this year running a time of 1:27.56. Part of the team went to Grand Rapids for the annual distance fest at Houseman field. Notable performances were by Bryce Gross who ran a season best 1600 in 4:22. Caleb Carignan also ran personal bests in the 1600 and 3200 with times of 4:28 and 9:41. Closer to home the remainder of the team competed at the annual Badar Class at Carman-Ainsworth Jr High. Michaela Wolosuk picked up a win in the 200 meter dash in her final dress rehearsal before the state finals. James Phillip ran a personal best 800 in 2:09.83 Tyler Woods led the 800 meter relay team to a 2nd place finish. Notably this capped of a career where Tyler competed in each of the 17 events in high school track and field. Alex Bissett was a double winner in the shot put and discuss on the final day wearing the Powers P on his chest. Bissett saved the best for last as he distances of 39'5 and 130'1 were also career bests.
