FINAL SCORE Powers 2 – Clarkston 4 It was Senior Night as the Chargers faced off against Division 1’s #3-ranked Clarkston Wolves. The boys battled hard from start to finish but ultimately came up short. Clarkston came out fast, scoring three goals in the first half. Refusing to back down, the Chargers responded before halftime when Senior Grant Roberts sliced through defenders on the left side and slid a perfect pass to Senior Logan Johnson, who buried his shot in the back of the net to give Powers a much-needed boost. The second half was tightly contested. Clarkston extended their lead with a rocket into the top left corner to go up 4–1. Minutes later, Roberts was fouled in the box on an attacking run and converted the penalty kick, cutting the deficit to two. The remainder of the match turned into a defensive standoff, with both backlines holding strong until the final whistle. Next up, Powers takes on #1-ranked Division 3 rival Detroit Country Day on Wednesday, away.
